I'm Shauray Agrawal--a third year Computer Science major here at UC Berkeley. I'm a Bay Area native, originating from Saratoga, California in South Bay. If I'm not programming, I like to listen to music and play video games. After graduating, I plan to work at a tech company in San Francisco as a software engineer. Eventually, my goal is to move into product management and eventually start my own company.
I'm taking this course because I'd like to have my own published patents someday. I believe that owning a patent is something incredibly fulfilling since it recognizes the owner's unique invention or idea, and the hard work they put into it. This class will help me understand what it takes to frame a patent correctly, and that's what I wish to get out of it. I'd also like to get a more general background understanding of some of the major patents that played key roles in shaping the Wireless Mobile Devices industry.

Hi Shauray,
ReplyDeleteI agree with your analysis that a patent can be a symbol of recognition in terms of hard work and effort. Looking forward to reading more!
Hey man,
ReplyDeleteIt would certainly be awesome to own a patent one day. I have interest in finding out how the increasingly popular open-source community will balance itself out with intellectual property.
